Egg Design can set you up with high quality hosting for €50 a year. There are no extra ‘middle man’ charges as most Design Agencies will do. I purchase your hosting directly using your credit card and you are charged yearly by the hosting company. If you already have your own hosting, you may continue to use it.
If your site is very complicated, requires exceptional security, is very large or very popular, you may require what’s known as virtual private hosting (€50+ per month) or even dedicated hosting (€100+ per month).
In most cases, these more expensive hosting options are overkill, and your site will run just fine on the €50/year hosting. If you are being charged €100+ for your current hosting and your site is pretty basic, then you are being seriously overcharged!
Domain Names
Your website’s main URL (www.yourwebsite.ie) is its domain name. In some cases you may want to purchase more than one domain name and have them all point to one site.
Egg Design will help you choose a good website domain name that will be short, easy to spell and memorable. Again, the name will be purchased & registered by Egg Design with no extra yearly charges.
Custom Email Addresses
Your web hosting will come with the capability for you to have as many custom email addresses as you like, which you can check using webmail and Outlook (or Mac Mail, Thunderbird, Eudora, or any other mail software). An example of your own custom email address would be info@yoursite.ie
Every custom email account will have a spam filter attached to it.
